Technology is making a significantly positive impact on education in several ways.

First, it improves the levels of achievements in all subject areas and across all school levels. e-Learning makes instruction more student-centered, encourages collaborative learning and stimulates increased teacher-student interaction. It also increases learning effectiveness and has positive effects on students’ attitudes and motivation.  It encourages students to take more care in crafting their work.

Second, it improves teachers’ skills. e-Learning challenges teachers to shift paradigms and use a constructivist model of learning. It transforms the teacher to mentor and coach. It also encourages teachers to collaborate more. The use of technology enables teachers to simplify the presentation of complex tasks and material. 

Third, it improves school administration and management. On one hand, it provides managers and administrators with new tools to effectively manage school resources. On the other hand, administrative uses of technology allow teachers to spend less time on cumbersome paperwork and more time on educational content and on working with students.

Fourth, it increases family involvement in helping their children learn better. Parents and other community members will have access to classes, libraries, homework hotlines, school bulletin boards and other resources to assist them in helping their children succeed in schools. Parents and teachers can communicate through email, voice mail and other collaborative tools.
